You have quality content on your website, now you need to tell the
world wide web where you website is and what you offer.
Each web page you have throughout your web site has its own web
address, known as a URL. These URL's are submitted to search engines
and; as shown earlier in our Search Engine Optimisation section;
one can add invisible keywords behind each URL to optimise them
for search engines.
An example of several URL's in a web site can be found by its navigational
structure. For example your ‘Contact Us’ page would be at the URL
of http://www.yoursite.co.uk/contact.html. This is the website address
to that actual page and not to your homepage.
There are free submissions available through certain search engines
but these only allow you to submit your homepage. With a paid
search engine submissions service one can submit other pages within
your web site.
ADK provides search engine submission of your web site URL's
by using a tool that enables us to understand and manage the entire
search engine marketing process, so we can achieve lasting results,
submitting your site to thousands of search engines and directories.
Including top search engines like Google, Lycos, AOL, Yahoo UK,
Excite, MSN, Netscape, Lookseek and even trade directories.
We also have the facilities to submit your site to over 31 different
countries. But do remember that even though we submit your site
throughout the year this does not guarantee ranking. Ranking is
solely decided by the search engine. However, search engines do
look for new updated pages and like words to be associated with
business. Therefore, keeping your web up to date can have search
engine ranking benefits too.
The following pricing structure (ex vat) and search engine submissions
of URL's from ADK are as follows:

When it comes to search engine submissions the only advice that
you need to be aware of is that submission purely means the act
of getting your web site listed with search engines. Getting listed
does not mean that you will necessarily rank well for particular
terms. It simply means that the search engine knows your pages exist.
Search engine submission is similar to you purchasing a National
Lottery ticket. Having a ticket doesn't mean that you will win,
but you must have a ticket to have any chance at all.
However, there is a way to increase the odds of winning by picking
your lottery numbers carefully. Search engine optimisation is
akin to this. It's making sure that the numbers you select are
more likely to win than purchasing a set of numbers at random.
In summary:
One can see that search engine optimisation basically means the
act of altering your site so that it may rank well for particular
terms, especially with crawler-based search engines.
