Professional key-wording is transparent to the reader
- inserted by the writer for Search Engine Optimisation.
There are a range of techniques used by the search engine optimizer
and web designer. Most are hidden within the programming code and
do not get displayed when a visitor views your web page. They are
however, read by search engines and here we explain some of these
hidden web site optimisation techniques employed by ADK.
Title & Meta Tags
The title of each web page is more important than you may think.
It not only needs to have keywords strategically placed but needs
to remain readable and make sense. The same goes for the hidden
code that lists all your web page keywords and the code that describes
your website (the small paragraph that usually accompanies each
search engine result).
Link Text & Screen Hints
Using text based links always scores well with search engines
and we manually scan each page to ensure that this function is
used to it's fullest. This ultimately means that navigational
structure plays a large role in link success.
Screen hints can also boost the indexing of your web page. These
are small text messages that appear when you hover over a button
or graphic based link. Where, graphical menu's are used the screen
hint can extend the menu's link in a more description and keyword
way.
Alternative Text for Images
Each graphical image needs to have alternative text assigned to
it; a opportunity to use keywords again; and this requires extra
design time and creativeness. (Hover your mouse on the two pictures
above to see a sample).
