ADK designs for social care sector
Somerset-based design and consultancy company ADK successfully delivered a focused website this week for the counties social care sector, who is supported by Somerset County Council and regional social care skills agency.
The brief was to design a site that would reflect the full range of activities and aspirations that the county of Somerset has for social care and appeal to prospective workers and businesses.
ADK director Andrew Knutt says the new website contains an array of resources and information for the social care sector, which showcase’s different aspects such as careers and support for those in the business.
‘We could have provided a lot of information but we knew that users would visit the site for certain information so targeted this information through the design of call-for-actions and by using more imagery.’ he says.
The site also features video, is designed to W3C best practice standards, and includes content management.
The designers consulted staff and researched other such sites to ensure it captured the motivation of Care Focus Somerset’s work within the county.
The results can be viewed at www.carefocussomerset.org.uk
